Biodiversity Day at Parfex: An Immersion in the Heart of Living Nature

On May 28th 2026, Parfex had the pleasure of hosting a day entirely dedicated to biodiversity, in partnership with the Association Entreprises des Bois de Grasse. A meaningful event, fully aligned with our CSR approach and our strong local roots in the Grasse region.

This initiative is also part of Croda’s Climate and Land Positive pillar, which aims to promote more sustainable practices and help preserve the ecosystems on which the fragrance industry depends.

🌱 A Day of Immersive Experiences

Designed as a journey of discovery, this first edition of Biodiversity Day offered clients and collaborators a wide range of immersive activities, directly connected to nature and local expertise:

Harvesting perfume plants at the Aromatic FabLab and Les Fleurs d’Exception du Pays de Grasse, providing hands-on insight into the origins of natural raw materials.

Discovering Parfex’s CSR commitments, highlighting the initiatives carried out to protect the environment and support the local area.

Exploring local natural raw materials and their synthetic alternatives, alongside our creative teams, showcasing the challenges and opportunities of sustainable innovation in perfumery.

Butterfly inventory activities in the Bois de Grasse, in partnership with LPO France, to better understand and protect local biodiversity.

Pollinator awareness workshops, led by Méditerranée 2000, emphasizing their essential role in ecosystems.

A visit to the photographic exhibition “Biodiversity in Jasmine Fields”, by INRAE, illustrating the richness of biodiversity within jasmine cultivation.

An Inspiring Conference to Close the Day

The day concluded at Le Cube with an inspiring talk by Dominique Roques entitled:
“Fragile Eternity: Meeting the Trees and Flowers Behind the Perfumes of Grasse and Beyond.”

A powerful moment of reflection, highlighting the deep connection between biodiversity, natural raw materials, and the future of perfumery.

A Collective Commitment for the Future

This Biodiversity Day was marked by inspiring exchanges, enriching discoveries, and a shared realization: biodiversity lies at the very heart of our craft and represents a crucial challenge for future generations.
